Owner biography

Joshua Gough — Owner, Legacy Automotive Inc.

Joshua Gough is the owner and founder of Legacy Automotive Inc., an independent automotive repair company based in Boulder, Colorado. Since opening Legacy Automotive in 2013, Joshua has built the business around honest service, strong technical knowledge, and a long-term commitment to taking care of customers, vehicles, and the people who work on them.

Joshua’s path into repair work started long before Legacy Automotive. After earning his FAA Airframe and Powerplant mechanic certificate in 2000, he spent years working as a traveling mechanic, including time in Alaska where resourcefulness, problem-solving, and doing the job right mattered every day. That experience shaped the way he approaches automotive repair today: diagnose carefully, fix things correctly, and never lose sight of the people depending on the equipment.

Under Joshua’s leadership, the Legacy Automotive family has grown to include Legacy Automotive in Boulder, Ridgeline Auto Brokers, Ridgeline Automotive, and All American Auto Repair of Longmont. His shops specialize in modern automotive repair, fleet service, diagnostics, 4x4 and overlanding work, electric vehicle service, and used vehicle sales.

Joshua is passionate about building businesses that serve both customers and employees well. His shops are fully digital, equipped with factory scan tools, and focused on giving technicians and service advisors the tools they need to do excellent work. He believes great auto repair starts with great people, clear communication, and a commitment to doing the right thing.

Outside of work, Joshua enjoys aviation, hiking with his wife and their dogs, and exploring new ways to use technology to improve the automotive industry.
